Twisted: Unserious food tastes seriously good.

The saying goes that to become a master of something, you must spend 10,000 hours practicing your skill. I have absolutely no idea how long the people in the following videos have spent slaving over their stoves, but I’m willing to bet it’s far more than the required 10,000 hours.

The chefs in the following collection of videos are some of the world’s best street food vendors in the world, and watching their incredible skill on camera is totally mesmerising.

There’s something weirdly satisfying about watching these extremely talented people practice their skills in such an efficient way. Coming from someone who takes five minutes to cut up a single onion, their talent is seriously impressive.

The following guy’s skills are seriously impressive, and although it looks like he’s wrestling with a demon alien creature, it’s actually just a type of glutinous rice cake known as mochi.

This guy’s bread is so big that it definitely wouldn’t fit through my front door. Which leads me to wonder if anyone’s ever made a pizza this size..?

Watching the following clip makes me sad that I’ll never be as intrinsically connected with another human being as these two chefs are with each other. Squad goals.

Making the perfect crêpe involves patience, skill, and an extremely fine-tuned hand. Not that you’d know it by looking at the chef in the following video, who makes it look as easy as pie.

I’m not even sure exactly what some of the foods in the following clips are, but they look absolutely incredible. Can someone book me a flight to Thailand, stat?

So next time you’re feeling like you’re failing in the kitchen, don’t worry. Being the very best is all about practice, so I’m sure you’ll get it next time. Or the next. Or the next. Or the next…
