Twisted: Unserious food tastes seriously good.

Supermarket giant Tesco has announced the sale of a new cider which is set to tantalize tastebuds this summer.

Infused with parma violets and blackberries, and the Rekorderlig pear cider is retailing for £2 ($2.54) a bottle. However, there is currently an online offer available offering three for £5.25 ($6.66).

Coming in at 330ml a bottle, it has an ABV of four percent and can be enjoyed by everyone as it’s vegan to boot.

The Sun has contacted a representative from Tesco to find out the calorific content of the drink, which is not yet known, and to find out if its online offer will be available in store too.

If this botanical-infused cider sounds like it’s up your alley, you’re in luck, as it’s one of a wider “premium botanicals” range by the Swedish manufacturer.

Other drinks on offer include rhubarb, lemon, and mint cider, a peach and basil cider, and a grapefruit and rosemary cider.

While this parma violets cider might sound revolutionary in the taste buds department, it’s a reflection of the fact that it’s the flavor of the moment.

A similar cider was also launched by Brothers this year.
