Chloe Bailey sobs as hotel ‘serves her meat by accident’

Singer Chloe Bailey told fans she was reduced to tears after eating a non-vegan burger by accident.
The 25-year-old, who is sister to Halle Bailey, have both been vegan for a decade, and have spoken at length about their dietary choices.
However, Chloe spoke in a recent Instagram Live about being served red meat by accident, and eating it thinking it was a Beyond Meat burger.
Chloe had been grabbing a bite at a hotel ahead of the Beyonce concert in Atlanta, Georgia, when she realised she’d inadvertently broken her veganism.
“So I called to get a Beyond Burger for sis and I like usual. Specified that it’s vegan, no butter on the bun, nothing like that,” she said.
“So we get the burgers, I’m getting out of the shower… and she’s eating the burger and she’s like, ‘Are you sure this is Beyond?’
“I touched the patty and smelled it and was like, ‘Of course it’s Beyond, yeah’. So I finish getting dressed, I take a bite and the juice dripping from the burger is not like a Beyond burger. I just knew it was not a fake burger.
“The one bite I took and I just knew. Immediately I said, ‘This doesn’t feel right’.”

Chloe said that when she found out, she rung the hotel’s reception and asked them to confirm if the burgers were vegan, only to learn once and for all that they weren’t.
“He said, ‘No, they’re brand burgers’. I said, ‘Brand burgers? I said Beyond burgers’. I don’t even know what a brand burger is,” Chloe went on.
“Immediately I’m losing my sh*t. I gobbled down a whole can of Sprite. Halle’s laughing at me because I’m crying. This is right before the concert yesterday. I’m crying, Halle’s just laughing so hard at me because I’m freaking out.”
Chloe added that her emotional reaction stemmed from not having eaten meat in ten years.
The Insta story was re-shared on Instagram blog The Shade Room, and people flocked to express their sympathy for Chloe, whilst others thought her reaction was extreme.
“If I put 10 years into something and someones mistake jeopardises that, I’d be pissed….,” said one person.

Whilst another wrote: “Man that’s the worst stomach ache after!!!”
“Her crying over that is valid,” said a third. “If you go 10 years without eating meat thats a self accomplishment and she stands for something ppl who stand for nothing may see this as dramatic but u gotta see it from her view.”
“Did you die tho?,” a fellow Instagram user wrote sarcastically.
As another joked: “This would have made me so mf mad. Would have had to eat a rib eye steak IMMEDIATELY AFTER! Start fresh in the morning.”
The duo reportedly went vegan because of their mother, after she suggested going vegetarian for a week.
They never looked back, and their lifestyles evolved to become fully plant-based.
