Costco’s 2kg peanut butter chocolate pie has broken the internet

Costco has a bit of a reputation for serving whopping big desserts, but its latest offering is like nothing we’ve ever seen before.

The wholesale retailer is selling a Peanut Butter Chocolate Pie that weights almost five pounds (that’s 2.26kg). Honestly, you couldn’t make it up.

The product was shared on social media by Laura from @costcohotfinds, and it’s safe to say that it stopped people in their tracks.

To give you an idea of the hype, the video now has more than 3.2 million views on her TikTok, too, and shows Laura cutting into the hefty pie to reveal an absolutely gigantic slice of creamy, nutty goodness.

“This one is dangerously delicious,” she says in the video, before taking a bite.

“The Costco bakery just brought out a peanut butter chocolate cream pie for the first time ever and I am screaming.

“Peanut butter pie is my all time favourite and this Costco pie is four and a half pounds. It is huge.”

The pie is made with a buttery crust made from graham crackers, whilst the centre is a peanut butter and chocolate mousse.

“This better be at my Costco,” wrote someone in response to the video.

Whilst another said: “That looks soooo good.”

“This video just gave me a cavity,” joked somebody else.

Unfortunately for us Brits, the pie is only believed to be available in the States and Canada ATM.

It’s retailing at $19.99 (£16.55), which sounds like a lot, but have you seen the size of it?!

The pie isn’t yet available on the Costco website, but it is popping up in stores, so if you’re lucky enough to live in a country that sells it, find your nearest branch here.

As for how long it’s going to be available? There’s no word from the folks at Costco, yet, so we’d suggest flocking quickly if you want to get your hands on one.

Costco’s pies have always had avid fans. Their Pumpkin Pie recipe has been the same for three decades, and always sees customers come running over the holidays.

Meanwhile, the same can be said for their Pecan Pie over the US holiday seasons.
