Domino's recently withdrew its Garlic and Herb dip over concerns it contained traces of peanut.

The chain is as beloved for its garlickly sauce as it is for its pizzas, but people were left gutted recently when it stopped selling the dip for a limited time, due to worries over allergies.

The same goes for the chain's Honey and Mustard dip, as apparently a customer complained of an "itchy mouth".

An email to customers advised that 100g and 25g pots could have been contaminated and that people should also dispose of any they have at home.

Now, you'd think people would be a bit disappointed and get on with their lives – perhaps order a BBQ dip instead...but, no!

Instead, someone decided to get entrepreneurial, listing a Garlic and Herb dip for an eye-watering £9,999 on eBay. God loves a trier, ey?

The seller says the pot is the "last ONE" (technically untrue), and even offered the opportunity for someone to pay £471.60 per month for 24 months.

Imagine all the things you could buy with that?

We don't need to explain how ridiculous this is, but for context, the RRP of a 25g pot of Domino’s Garlic & Herb is... £0.69.

Yup, not even a quid!

There are others trying to sell their dips for hundreds of pounds, including one who has listed theirs as “VERY RARE” and “unopened and registered.”

Even listings of £50 and £30 seem ridiculous to us, and we have to wonder who would even pay a pound (as others have listed) to order a second hand Domino's dip.

Thankfully, it doesn't look like the listings have had much (if any) traction.

The distribution issue occurred last week, with Domino's saying at the time: “Domino’s takes food safety very seriously and we are working urgently with our supplier to understand how this happened and ensure it doesn’t happen again.

“There will be disruption to the supply of dips in the coming days while we wait for new supplies to arrive and appreciate customers’ understanding during this time.”
