We're all for sprucing up our houses and making things look pretty, but would you decorate your fridge?

Believe it or not, that's what some people are doing, and it's quite bewildering.

Yes, fridgescaping is a thing RN, and no we don't just mean jazzing the door up with some magnets.

The trend involves organising the shelves in your fridge, adding decoration and making things look *aesthetic*.

Move that jar of pesto, it's ruining the feng shui.

The trend has taken off on TikTok (because, of course), and people have been spotted putting everything from flowers to fairy lights photo frames in their fridges.

Obviously, putting flowers in the fridge is not advisable, if you want them to survive...

And photo frames? Well, it wouldn't be the first place we'd stash a picture of our nan.

User @chantalarntsen shared one such example of fridgescaping, with ceramic vases and even a picture of her cat amongst the usual stacks of food.

Meanwhile, @rebeccathrifts included a mirror and several ornamental trays, amongst other ornate bits.

We're even seeing seasonal fridgescaping, too.

TikToker @stephaniehannablog recently decorated her fridge with Halloween décor – we're talking plastic spiders, cobwebs, and even glitter balls.

(Imagine opening the fridge to a spider, we'd be running for the hills!)

As you can expect, when news of fridgescaping hit the rest of the internet, people were as baffled as us.

Over on X, one person joked: “Can you go grab me a sparkling water? It’s right behind the prayer card from my Mawmaw’s funeral.”

While another wrote: "Now I need to get an area rug for my fridge".

"I cant imagine having so much space that you have framed photos in the fridge," a third chimed in.

As a fourth was less critical, writing: "I’m mad that I don’t hate this."

We're always here for an organised fridge, and maybe even one with a bit of order, but we draw the line at decorative items in there, sorry.

What do you think? Would you get on board with fridgescaping?
