Anyone else love popping into a fast food chain when they're abroad to see how they've tweaked their menus to the locals?

Don't get us wrong, we like rooting out the best bars and restaurants when we're away – who doesn't? But there's always space to squeeze in a Maccies, too.

It's for that reason we were *fascinated* to discover what McDonald's Japan has to offer when one food blogger shared it on his page.

And let's just say, now we know, UK McDonald's will never hit the same again.

Yup, travel blogger ImSparkzz (Isaiah Tuuga Lam) took to his Instagram to share the delights of McDonald's Japan – and we're immensely jealous.

Delights across his Insta include a Macaroon Strawberry Milk Butter, a Garlic Butter Teriyaki Chicken Burger and a Chicken Salt and Lemon burger. Ooof, the flavours!

The standout, my the looks of it, was the Samurai Mac, made with a soy sauce roasted beef burger with bacon and a tomato.

"Now listen to me when I say this is the best McDonald's burger in the world," the blogger says in one vid, before stuffing it in his mouth in record time.

The blogger also showcases The EBI Filet-O, which is basically a Filet-O-Fish but with prawns.

He describes the sauce in this as "goated" (which for the youngsters out there means the greatest of all time).

And the Garlic Butter Teriyaki Chicken Burger looks pretty epic, too – crispy and sticky and incredibly devour-able, with a mayo that "might be the best thing Japan McDonald's has ever released".

One of the more unique offerings is the Roasted Soy Sauce Mayo Egg Teriyaki Burger, which looks pretty unbelievable.

One thing we didn't think about was how different drinks could be abroad, too.

McDonald's Japan offers bevs called McFizz, which come in a variety of flavours like strawberry and blood orange, and we also see Isaiah gulp down a melon soda.

And the fries? Even they're more exciting! Apparently Japan McDonald's has been known to sell Shaka Shaka fries, which basically means fries covered in a flavour dusting.

In one video we see "seaweed plumb" fries, whilst a more recent drop boasts a teriyaki flavour, too.

You shake the bag of fries and the flavour disperses on them, kind of like the Salt and Shake crisps you can buy here in the UK.

Not only do these look super fun, but the blogger labelled these "one million out of ten," which is definitely enough of an endorsement for us.

Brb whilst we book a flight to Japan immediately.
