A festival dedicated entirely to pickles exists, and it might just be our dream.
Yup, Picklesburgh is a three day event that takes place annually in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – and if you love yourself a gherkin, it sounds like the real dill.
This year, the event took place on July 21st, and ran up until the 23rd, offering everything from live music and pickle merchandise to pickle juice eating contests.
Whilst there hasn’t been official confirmation of a Picklesburgh 2024 yet, it’s been running very successfully since 2015, so we think it’s safe to assume it’ll be coming.
Check out a clip from this year below:
Let’s set the scene for you…
As you enter, there’s a giant pickle floating in there air (naturally), and you can expect a whole bunch of food vendors selling pickle themed meals, including the likes of chocolate covered pickles, kimchi, pickle sandwiches and tahini pickle ice cream. Oooft.
There will also be boozy pickle options too, including pickle beer and cocktails. Plus, you can indulge in pickle flavoured moonshine and slushies as well.
The pickle juice competition was a blast this year, so if you’re a true pickle fanatic, you can see if you can beat the current record, which is five seconds to consume 32 ounces.

After social media videos of this year’s Picklesburgh did the rounds, it’s safe to say that people were jealous they didn’t hear about it earlier.
“I found out ab picklesburgh late bc my fyp decided to show me after it ended and now i’m definitely going next year idc if it’s by myself… y’all don’t understand how much i love pickles man omggg (sic),” said one person on Twitter.
Whilst another wrote: “Omg there is a pickle festival?! Called Picklesburgh & I’ve never heard of this…looks amazing.”

“I keep getting picklesburgh videos on my FYP ultimate fomo rn (sic),” a third chimed in.
“Actually, my number one goal in life is to go to Picklesburgh at least once,” said a fourth.
Petition to bring this festival over to the UK, stat.
