Twisted: Unserious food tastes seriously good.

From food bloggers, Jurassic Foodies, the new creation is basically a massive Cadbury Easter egg filled with fondant, so that it resembled a whopping great big Creme Egg.

The best part is, it’s rather easy to knock up at home, too!

All they did to make it was melt pre-made fondant icing in a bowl with a little bit of water.

Then in a separate bowl, they added a few tablespoons of orange food colouring into a small amount of the fondant, to make the ‘yolk’.

Whilst waiting for the filling to cool down they then coated the inside of their pre-bought Easter egg with melted chocolate to “reinforce the shell”.

Then they left that to set, and when everything was ready they dolloped the white fondant into the centre of the Easter egg before smoothing it out and swirling in the orange ‘yolk’ in the centre. You can see a full demo and all the instructions here.

The bloggers said their recreation tasted “exactly the same” as original Creme Eggs, except, obviously *way* bigger.

“This looks heavenly,” said someone in the comments.

As another wrote: “I’ve wanted this for years!”

“I WOULD LOVE THAT SO MUCH,” said a third.

As someone else penned: “I wish this was real.”

Well, it’s real if you want it to be! You’ve just got to get creative…

If you’re looking for more ways to get innovative with your Easter eggs this year, people are also stuffing their full of cheesecake and allowing it to set in the chocolate shell.

The best thing about this trend is you can get as creative as you like. Opt for whatever Easter egg shell your heart desires – whether you’re partial to Cadbury’s, Nestlé or Lindt – then, you can stuff it with your most adored no-bake cheesecake recipe.
