Someone made Gordon Ramsay out of cake and it’s terrifyingly realistic

We’re all about über realistic cakes here at Twisted – frankly, the less a cake looks like a cake the better.
A trend that begun as little more than a meme, over the years, we’ve seen everything from burgers that are cakes, bog roll that is cake and even rapper Slowthai made edible. It seemed there really was no limit to the creativity of bakers across the web.
At least, that’s what we thought until we stumbled across this creation of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay on TikTok. Yep, we’re sorry to announce that the ‘real or cake’ genre has officially peaked.
It simply doesn’t get better than this:
@gordonramsayofficial #duet with @rodneyscakehouse I’m both honoured and shocked by this cake….but more the latter 🤦♂️ #ramsayreacts #tiktokcooks
Created by home business, Rodneys Cake House, the creation unsurprisingly caught chef Gordon in his tracks as he was doing the rounds on TikTok.
“I’m both honoured and shocked by this cake,” he wrote as he shared a reaction video on his own page. “But more the latter.”
Seriously, someone needs to hang this bad-boy in the Tate Modern!
In the video, Gordon can be seen watching as the business owner, Mia Rodney, creates a bust of his head out of cake, carefully sculpting and painting it until it looks the spit of him – frown lines and all.
“Oh no, another cake…,” Gordon says at the start of the reaction video, clearly not expecting much.
But he’s quickly proven wrong, screaming as he sees the cake begin to look more and more like him.
“Noooo, I’m dead!,” he shrieks dramatically as his face is revealed at the end.
Not only are you dead, but you’re edible, Gordon!
Naturally, reactions to the cake video were absolutely priceless, with most people conceding, like Gordon, that it was absolutely terrifying but amazing in equal measure.
“This activated my fight or flight response,” said somebody after stumbling across the vid.
Whilst another joked: “This is traumatising”.
“It’s so realistic that’s scary,” commented a third TikToker after the big reveal, whilst a third penned: “That looks a bit too much like him”.
In agreement, another TikTok user branded the creation “uncanny”. As a hyper-realistic baker, you can’t get a better compliment than that, right?
Speaking exclusively to Twisted, baker Mia revealed she made the cake when she was just 22, and it took her two weeks to perfect.
Recalling the moment her culinary artwork went viral, Mia, who runs her Black-owned business from South London, said that couldn’t believe she got a reaction from TikTok big-wig Gordon himself.
“The concept behind [the cake] was just that I like to push myself and evolving quick with my craft is my focus,” Mia explained. “I knew this was a good way to practice with it being my second ever bust cake and felt that it was going to get a big reception.
“I was working when he reacted, it’d been months I started to think it’d never happen and I honestly couldn’t be happier, it wasn’t a bad reaction so I’m chuffed.”
“He did say he was ‘honoured’ somewhere in that TikTok caption so I can’t complain,” she added. “I love him and I’m glad he took it in jest”.
Mia also told us that she is looking to recreate several more famous faces over on her TikTok, too – so keep your eyes peeled.

Although, PSA, if someone bought us that Gordon Ramsay cake, we’d probably run away in fear of being called an idiot sandwich..
