Krispy Kreme is giving away free doughnuts for five days straight

Given current circumstances, we could all use a week of celebration. Excuses to throw a foodie party have been few and far between in recent months, which is all the more reason to take full advantage when an opportunity presents itself. Thankfully for doughnut fans, one such opportunity is on the horizon. 

In addition to its now annual National Doughnut Day, held every June 5th, beloved pastry pushers Krispy Kreme has decided that one doughnut dedicated day isn’t nearly enough in 2020. To lift the spirits and the blood-sugar levels of the nation, the company has decided to offer free doughnuts to everyone for five days straight, from the 1st to the 5th of June. 

Unlike many similar supposedly free offers, the newly created “Doughnut Week” is genuinely as generous as it sounds. For the duration of the promotion, customers will be able to claim one free doughnut per day from a participating Krispy Kreme store, with no purchase necessary. 

The only downsides are that you can only claim one free doughnut per day and that the offer is not available on delivery. Other than that, it’s the perfect opportunity for fans to fill their boots.

In a statement revealing the terms of the deal, Chief Marketing Officer for Krispy Kreme Dave Skena declared:

“National Doughnut Day is one of our favorite holidays to celebrate, but with days starting to blur together, we want to make sure it’s easier than ever for fans to participate.

“That’s why, this year, we’re extending our beloved free doughnut tradition from one day to five days with the very first National Doughnut Week.”

There may be more pressing concerns currently facing society than doughnuts, but it’s nonetheless reassuring to know that we have something this delicious and wallet-friendly to look forward to.
