Twisted: Unserious food tastes seriously good.

A long time ago, in a kitchen far far away, a line of legendary pots and pans was created. Made from colourfully enamelled cast-iron, this cookware was like nothing anyone had ever seen in a scullery. It was flexible, sturdy and suitable for cooking anything from casseroles to carbonara. Over time, it became a byword for class and quality. It’s name was Le Creuset. Now, nearly 100 years after they forged their first pot, the company has decided to branch out, join forces with the world’s biggest movie franchise and restore order to the culinary galaxy…

In news that will excite the inner nerd in every cook, the famous French manufacturers have revealed a new range of Star Wars-inspired merchandise that will work just as well as memorabilia as a Dutch oven. Featuring a host of Star Wars characters, you’ll be inviting your fellow Rebel Scum around in no time for some blue milk and that weird stew that Yoda likes. Bon appetit. Or, whatever the equivalent is in Galactic Basic.

The new line-up offers options to suit every budget. If you live the exorbitant life of a Hutt, you might prefer to splash out on the $450 Han Solo Carbonite Signature Roaster, featuring the eponymous smuggler frozen into the lid. Alternatively, rich Sith could invest in a $395 Darth Vader Dutch Oven, which is sexy enough to turn any chef to the dark side.

However, if you’re running a little low on credits, there are plenty of more affordable choices. For instance, the droid-inspired Mini Cocottes – ideal for handling smaller tasks – are available for just $30. Each of C-3P0, R2-D2 and BB-8 all have their own unique designs, meaning that you won’t have to choose between your favourites.

However, if you want to truly pledge your allegiance and buy something spectacular, Le Creuset have come up with an epic offering. If you sign up on the company’s website, you could be in with a chance to purchase one of nine $900 Tatooine Round Dutch Ovens, decorated with the planet’s legendary dual setting suns. It might set you back the best part of a grand, but what better way to show the world that you’re the biggest fan in the galaxy?
