New Krispy Kreme store has a 24/7 doughnut vending machine

Now that just going up to someone and asking for something to eat has become infinitely more complicated, food brands have been forced to think outside the box. In addition to more traditional methods of service, some of the biggest names in the industry have decided to take the opportunity to innovate, stepping away from servers and towards automation. Krispy Kreme is no exception. 

To make it easier than ever for their customers to access doughnuts at the drop of a hat, the world-famous pastry producers have come up with a cunning plan. At the brand’s new North Carolina store, customers can enjoy a doughnut any time of day or night, all thanks to a brand new 24/7 doughnut vending machine. 

Located next to Krispy Kreme’s swanky Global Product & Innovation Centre, the store sums up everything it means to be a forward thinking doughnut shop in 2020. In addition to the vending machine, which can be accessed from the street, the store also features a duo of Instagram-tastic doughnut murals, as well as a range of delicious sounding products.

Included on the menu alongside the usual doughy disks are ice cream sandwiches and milkshakes, both made from Original Glazed Ring-infused ice cream. According to Rhianna Simard, Krispy Kreme District Manager:

“Being home to our Global Product & Innovation Center, Charlotte is near and dear to our hearts, so we’re treating our neighbors to special experiences they won’t find at any other Krispy Kreme location.

“From beautiful artwork inspired by the Queen City and new Doughnut Vending Machine to Insomnia Cookies, we want this shop to be a sweet treat destination and staple in the community.”
