Snickers is launching a peanut brownie chocolate bar

Snickers were already the kings of sticky sweet nutty treats, but a new announcement from the peanut bar mega-brand has sent candy fans into meltdown. Set to launch in January 2021, Snickers has revealed plans for a new peanut brownie chocolate treat, stuffed with actual gooey brownie bits. Who says January has to be miserable?

Described as the brand’s “biggest innovation to date”, the new brownie design will definitely offer a delicious alternative to the classic bar. Instead of a single thin chocolate, peanut and nougat piece, each pack will deliver two squares of chocolate-dipped peanut brownie, marking a significant departure from anything Snickers have done in the past. 

In a recent press release, brand director Josh Olken declared:

“Snickers and brownies are two of America’s favorite treats, and we know people love both for the deliciousness and comfort that they bring. So, what could be better than putting them together?”

“We’re excited to release our exclusive first batch of Snickers Peanut Brownie for our biggest fans to taste. It’s sure to be a delicious treat that brings the ultimate satisfaction.”

Understandably, six months might seem like a cruelly long wait to get your hands on what promises to be the best thing to happen to January since my girlfriend’s birthday. Fortunately, some fans won’t have to wait that long. 

To help whet your appetite even further, Snickers has set up a website, giving away 1,000 boxes of the new peanut brownie bars before they are officially released. All you have to do is visit the site and wait for the countdown timer to hit zero to be in with a chance. For the sake of Snickers brownies, this seems like a small sacrifice.
