Twisted: Unserious food tastes seriously good.

Learning to cook has come a long way from the days of pouring over a badly stained Julia Child, desperately trying to figure out the difference between “diced” and “finely chopped”. Now, all you need is access to YouTube and a keyboard. Say what you like about the internet, it’s definitely made cook-alongs much easier to stomach.

As we’re all spending an altogether unhealthy amount of time trapped on our laptops, many of the biggest names in modern food has decided to make the most of this captive audience. Several prominent brands have released instructional videos for some of their most famous products, giving millions of us a much-needed excuse to cook something tasty. Now, to the relief of everyone who enjoys an overindulgent pasta dish, The Cheesecake Factory has decided to get in on the action.

According to a press release provided by the brand, fans will be able to participate in a live cooking lesson with Cheesecake Factory chief culinary officer Donald Moore on Facebook this Thursday. The demo, which is set to last for about 30 minutes, will include instructions for the restaurant’s beloved lemon-ricotta pancakes, as well as a brand new chicken and broccoli pasta dish.

Why not try our Creamy Chicken Sausage & Broccoli Pasta:

In an interview accompanying the announcement, Donald Moore explained:

“With so many people cooking at home right now, we thought this would be a perfect time to showcase a couple of our signature recipes that our guests could make at home for their loved ones on Mother’s Day. I’m really looking forward to it.”

There will be two separate sessions held on May 7th, each of which will give the audience the opportunity to ask questions and get some useful hints and tips on recreating Cheesecake Factory recipes at home. For anyone pining for the creamy zest of a lemony pancake, this Thursday could be the answer to your prayers.
