Twisted: Unserious food tastes seriously good.

There’s nothing worse than being stuck at home when you have a hankering for your favourite dessert. Even if the nearest shop is just a few hundred metres away, it doesn’t take much for the lethargic tentacles of the sitting room to set a cosy trap, leaving you comfortable, but hungry.

Fortunately, sloth-like sweet lovers can sit back and relax with the news that the year’s most exciting dessert can now be stacked in the freezer. Say goodbye to mooning over the lost possibility of a late-night sugar rush – cheesecake ice cream from the Cheesecake Factory is finally in stores.

First announced to the public in mid-January, the new ice cream range is available in seven distinctly delicious flavours, including “Birthday Cake” and “Salted Caramel”, and features a “signature cream cheese blend and sour cream”. Now, after a month of anticipation, the ice cream is now available in grocery stores across the country as part of the brand’s “The Cheesecake Factory At Home” range.

In a press release accompanying the official announcement, David Overton, Founder and CEO of The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated, revealed:

“Cheesecake fans no longer need to choose between a slice and a scoop; now they can have both in one delicious dessert. We are so pleased to be introducing this premium, unique new retail product line and can’t wait for our fans to try it in the comfort of home.”

To find out whether the new ice creams are available near you, shoppers can consult this handy guide on the Cheesecake Factory website. Each carton will have a recommended retail price of $4.99, though this seems like a small price to pay for pure, unadulterated ice cream joy. You know you’ve hit peak dessert when you’re spooning something from The Cheesecake Factory as you sit on the sofa.
