You can now get Twix-flavoured popcorn

Adding Twix to anything is almost certainly a good idea. Providing your dish is already sweet and you haven’t decided to go totally off the rails with a Twix roast dinner, the classic combination of caramel, chocolate and biscuit is a winning formula that works with just about every dessert under the sun. Now, it seems, this principle can also be applied to snacking.

New from the novelty food specialists at Sam’s Club, die-hard Twix-thusiasts can make real movie magic with the retailer’s riff on cinema popcorn. The latest interpretation of Mars Inc.’s legendary sweetie combines fluffy popcorn kernels with real Twix pieces in a bag that ticks just about every snack box you can think of. No longer will you have to agonise over impossible lobby ultimatums. You can literally have the best of both worlds. 

Served in a 20oz bag and retailing for around $5.98, the new popcorn certainly has the potential to shake up the cinema snack scene. According to the official description on the Sam’s Club website:

“Candy Pop Twix Popcorn is made with real Twix candy bar pieces and drizzled to perfection with Twix caramel.”

Although reviews are few and far between, the product so far has a perfect five out of five rating, suggesting that it delivers on its promise. 

In fact, so excited has the internet’s response been to the new release, that Twix themselves have decided to get in on the act. In a post to the brand’s Facebook page, they wrote:

“It might not be Halloween anymore, but now you can watch your scary movies with TWIX popcorn ? Get yours at your local Sam’s Club starting today!”

Given the frenzied fan reaction to the news, this may be the best time ever to plot a big movie night in. Even if the films are terrible, you won’t have to worry about the snack situation.
