You can now get a pink gin chocolate advent calendar

Twisted: Unserious food tastes seriously good.

Advent calendars are one of those Christmas traditions that most people take for granted.

Every year I get an advent calendar from my grandmother, and although I appreciate her thoughtfulness, if she forgot to get me one I probably wouldn’t buy them one for myself. They’re exciting presents when you’re a kid: not so much when you’re a grown-up.

But what if someone was to come up with a new type of calendar, with a twist to make it more appealing to over 18s? What am I talking about? I’ll tell you: British retailer Debenhams is offering the perfect Christmas deal this year: a pink-gin-themed chocolate advent calendar.

This awesome calendar, which was made in association with Gordon’s Gin, comes with 23 pieces of 8g strawberry flavoured fondants covered in a deliciously-rich dark chocolate coating.

As if that wasn’t cool enough, the very last window for Christmas day includes a 5cl bottle of Gordon’s pink gin, with an alcohol-by-volume (ABV) of 37.5 per cent.

Best of all, these calendars are currently on offer for the low price of just £13 ($16.80), meaning it’s a super-affordable present for the holiday season.

On Debenhams’ official store, the calendar’s product description states: “Countdown to Christmas with Gordon’s and this indulgent Advent calendar. Enjoy a strawberry cream dark chocolate fondant every day until Christmas eve when a mini Gordon’s Premium Pink Distilled Gin bottle is unveiled for a perfect celebration! The perfect adult Advent calendar to celebrate the Christmas countdown.”
