You can now get bottled Chick-Fil-A sauces for the first time ever

Any true fan of fried food knows that it’s all about the condiments. You can have all the chicken and chips you like, but if you haven’t got something lurid and sticky in which to dunk your dinner, you’re missing out on half the fun. 

In the case of Chick-Fil-A, America’s favourite problematic fried chicken purveyor, the sauces are something seriously special. Anyone who’s ever devoured one of the chain’s legendary chicken sandwiches knows that the experience is only ever enhanced by mysterious extras like “Polynesian” and “Chick-Fil-A” dips. What’s in them might be a mystery, but they’re undeniably awesome. 

All this makes the news that the chain is making its secretive sauces available for public consumption even more exciting. In a post shared on the Chick-Fil-A website, the restaurant revealed that eight signature sauce bottles will be hitting stores soon. Available in all Florida Publix, Target, Walmart and Winn-Dixie stores, it’s a glorious time to be a dipper.

In addition to the aforementioned “Polynesian” and signature “Chick-Fil-A” sauces, the new range also includes “Barbeque”, “Honey Mustard”, “Garden Herb Ranch Sauces”, “Sweet & Spicy Sriracha” and “Zesty Buffalo”. 

The 16-ounce bottles will cost just $3.49, and profits will be donated to the business’ scholarship programme for employees, as per the website. The bottles themselves will be available from “mid-March”, so fans should prepare for a mad rush to the shops.

In a statement accompanying the announcement, Michael Patrick, principal program lead at Chick-Fil-A’s “Beyond the Restaurant” initiative, revealed:

“Chick-fil-A Sauce and Polynesian Sauce are our two most popular sauces, so we are extremely excited to offer them at select retail stores outside of the restaurant.” 

“And because our Team Members are truly our ‘secret sauce’ to creating a positive experience in our restaurants, each time a customer purchases a Bottled Sauce at a participating retailer, the Chick-fil-A profits will support Team Members through our scholarship program.”

Even though the saucy offer is limited to Florida for the time being, the fact that Polynesian sauce is going to be in the public domain is a gamechanger for sauce lovers everywhere.
