Twisted: Unserious food tastes seriously good.

There’s barely a dessert on planet earth that isn’t brilliant if you blend it with Reese’s. Whatever the situation, there’s something about the salty sweetness of creamy peanut butter that makes everything better. It’s like bacon, only without the ethical question marks.

Given this, it’s no surprise that the world’s supermarkets are stacked full of Reese’s-flavoured sweet treats. If you’re so inclined, you can already supplement your cupboard with everything from Reese’s cereal to sandwich spread. However, if reports from this week are to be believed, the most exciting Reese’s product ever may have just arrived on our shelves.

A new collaboration from the Mrs. Freshley’s baking company and Hershey’s has caused the internet to go into total meltdown with the arrival of new-look Reese’s Peanut Butter Flavoured cupcakes. As the name implies, the new treats come stuffed with a centre made from Reese’s famous peanut butter, as well as a peanut butter icing. Cue bedlam.

As per Delish, the treats were actually first announced back in 2019, though it has taken until now for them to really cause a stir. The cupcakes are currently available at retailers including Amazon, Walmart and Sam’s Club, where the official product description states:

“Bring your appetite! These new chocolatey and peanut buttery treats from Mrs. Freshley’s take snack time to a whole new level. Mrs. Freshley’s Deluxe Hershey’s Triple Chocolate Cakes are indulgent, moist chocolate cakes filled with chocolate cream made with real Hershey cocoa.”

“Mrs. Freshley’s Deluxe Reese’s Peanut Butter Flavored Cupcakes deliver big on chocolate and peanut butter taste with a moist chocolate cupcake filled with Reese’s Peanut Butter crème filling. These new treats are sure to give chocolate and peanut butter lovers everywhere a rich, sweet, and satisfying way to celebrate snack time. These new snacks are so good that you won’t want to share!”

Resisting Reese’s was already tough. Now, it’s next to impossible.
