  • 2 tspbaking powder
  • 4 tbspgranulated sugar
  • 1 tspsalt
  • 260mlmilk
  • 2eggs
  • 57gunsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • For the board:
  • 200gdark chocolate, melted
  • 200gwhite chocolate, melted
  • 200gmilk chocolate (or hazelnut spread), melted
  • 100gpeanut butter, melted
  • 1banana, sliced
  • 100gstrawberries, sliced
  • 3sausages, cooked
  • 6bacon rashers, cooked
  • Maple syrup

We love a sweet and salty combo here at Twisted, so why not pair your pancakes with some sausages, bacon, or even a bit of black pudding?! Whatever toppings you like, we recommend enjoying them as pancake ‘tacos’, because who needs a knife and fork.

Method

  • Whisk together all of the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  • Add the eggs to a jug of milk, then whisk with a fork. Slowly whisk in the melted butter. Pour into the dry ingredients, and whisk until combined. Don't worry if there's little pockets of hardened butter, they'll melt as you cook the pancakes.
  • Heat a non-stick pan over medium/high, then add a ladleful of mixture into the middle. Once it's golden on the bottom and bubbling on top, flip and cook the other side. Repeat.
  • Arrange all of the pancakes on a board. Place the melted chocolate and peanut butter into small bowls, then arrange those on the board too.
  • Place the sweet and savoury toppings all around, filling the gaps. And that's it! Mix and match to your heart's content.
  • What do you think of the recipe?
