These are the best of both worlds - crispy and flaky puff pastry swirls stuffed with Nutella and chocolate chip cookie dough that stays a little bit gooey in the centre. Absolute perfection, and super simple to pull together too.
Combine your two sugars and the soft butter in a large bowl and mix until it’s fluffy and pale in colour.
Then beat in the eggs, one at a time and until fully combined.
Sieve the dry ingredients (the flour, bicarbonate and salt) and add to the mixture. Mix until combined, but don’t over mix.
To finish your cookie dough, fold through your chocolate drops. Then to leave to one side while you prepare the dough.
Roll out your pre-made puff pastry and slice vertically to create long strips. Chill again if needed.
Melt then spread over a thin layer of nutella.
Using a piping bag, pipe lines of cookie dough along each of the strips of dough. The starting at one end roll each stripe into a swirl.
Once rolled, brush with an egg wash and sprinkle over with chopped hazelnuts.
Preheat your Airfryer to 180ºC and then bake one for 18 to 20 mins until golden brown,
Place on a wire rack to cool, enjoy warm.
The rest can be chilled and frozen until you're in dire need for a yummy freshly baked sweet treat!
