In addition to coffee, Costa serves a variety of hot and cold snacks. These include cakes, pastries, sandwiches and crisps, making it a popular destination to grab a quick bite.

The company is currently a subsidiary of Coca-Cola and generates a revenue of around £1.17 bn. Small wonder they can afford to sell drinks for 50p for two days a year.
