The sun is (finally) meant to be rearing its head again this week… and to celebrate, Aldi has a treat in store.
Before you get excited, the treat isn’t for you, it’s for your four legged friend.
Yup, Aldi dog ice creams are officially back for 2023, and they land on shelves TODAY (August 8th).
The doggy scoops were a sell-out last year, with 30 tubs being ordered ever minute, so we can assume they’re gonna be equally popular this time around.
The ice cream for dogs will be available in two flavours, and whilst they may not be your usual choices, they’re bound to be a treat for your canine friend.
You’ll be able to buy Pea and Vanilla ice cream and Carrot and Apple tubs, too.
Each pack of four will cost £2.99, which we think you’ll agree is a bargain.
Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK, said: “Last year we became the first UK supermarket to launch a dog-friendly ice cream, and it was a huge hit with pet owners.
“We’re delighted to bring back a product that is both nutritious and cooling for dogs, just as the sunshine returns!”
The ice creams are totally plant-based, and made with ‘real fruit and vegetables,’ which mean they’re not only delicious for your pup, but they’re also a “nutritious snack” that will help them keep cool during the hot weather.
This isn’t the first doggy food launch we’ve seen.
Krispy Kreme dropped doggy doughnuts last autumn, and they were another resounding hit.
In collaboration with Australian brand, Doggie Doughnuts, the doughnuts were only available for a limited time, for National Dog Day.
Flavours included Original Glazed, Chocolate Cookie, Chocolate Sprinkles, Chocolate Iced, Strawberry Sprinkles, and Chocolate Cheesecake.
Oh dogs… they’re so spoilt these days!
