Aldi brings back popular Yorkshire Pudding beer

Here at Twisted, we pride ourselves on being innovative with Yorkshire Puddings (ahem, have you seen our Yorkshire Pudding lasagne?!).
But we have to give Aldi props for creating the second most exciting Yorkie fusion creation – their Yorkshire Pudding Beer.
The product was an instant hit when it hit shelves last year, almost selling out in the first week alone.
As the name suggests, it’s flavoured like Yorkshire Puddings, which sounds weird, but actually just gives it a “creamy, light quality,” that’s “soft and delicious” on the palate.
The tipple comes from The Yorkshire Pudding Beer Brewery, which is actually an award-winning brewery based in Malton, and is based on the first-ever Yorkshire pudding recipe, which is said to have come from Hannah Glass in 1747.
A man called Howard Kinder created it back in 2019, and the folks at Aldi spotted it when he applied for their TV show, Aldi’s Next Big Thing, which gives people the chance to get their quirky products stocked in stores.
Landing back in UK Aldis today (25th May) after a brief hiatus, we suggest you’re quick if you wanna get your hands on these, as based on last time we expect they won’t be around for long.
Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK said of the launch: “The innovation behind Malton Brewery’s Yorkshire Pudding Beer is outstanding. Shoppers absolutely loved its unique taste, so it’s only right that we return it to stores.”
Whilst Howard Kinder added: “Appearing on the show was absolutely life changing. Not only did we land our biggest ever contract, supplying one of the nation’s favourite supermarkets, but orders also went through the roof. It catapulted us into a whole new chapter.”
Whether you’re a fan of the drink of you just wanna gift it to your Yorkshire ‘pud loving pal, there’s no denying that this novelty drink will go down a treat.
