Burger King is giving away free Whoppers today – and there’s no catch

Burger King is giving out free Whoppers today, and there’s literally no catch.

The fast food chain has announced the return of Whopper Day, which is a day they hand out free burgers to everyone who comes in store. How nice of them!

The deal is only running today (Wednesday, May 18) and saves shoppers £5.45 – the price the Whopper usually costs.

In case you aren’t familiar, the Whopper is Burger King’s top burger, made up of a flame-grilled patty and the classic tomato, lettuce, onions and pickle.

The deal also extends to Burger King’s plant based Whopper, so veggies and vegans don’t have to miss out on the fun.

The best part is, you don’t even need to buy anything else to make the deal valid. Simply walk in, claim your freebie and be on your way.

All you need to do to get your burger is download the Burger King app and create an account.

Once you’ve done that, just show them the account at the counter and the burger is yours.

If you can’t make it to the store today, you can also claim a free Whopper when you order a Burger King on Deliveroo – but this time there is a conditional £15 minimum spend.

Still, a free burger is a free burger, and it’s still a great deal if you’re ordering in for your family.

The good thing about Whopper day UK is that they’re not selling the bizarre burgers that were offered in Burger King over in Germany recently.

Yep, in case you missed it, the German chain released a pregnancy cravings burger line for one day only on Mother’s Day – and the promotional pictures have since gone viral online.

The line was actually a pretty neat concept. Available at just one location in Berlin, it honoured expectant mums by noting some of the most common cravings they experienced, and incorporating them into their beloved Whopper.

Flavour combos included ice cream and olive; eggs and bananas; jam, fish-sticks and applesauce and currywurst with a dash of fried herring.
