KFC’s free chicken bucket promotion is on now – how to get yours

Fancy a free KFC chicken bucket? Yep, you heard that right.

The fast food giant is giving away fried chicken and a bunch more menu items for free this month – but there’s just one tiny catch.

You have to download the KFC app, but the good news is as well as fried chicken, it also unlocks the chance to win finger lickin’ freebies each day.

How do I claim my free KFC chicken bucket?

If you want a free KFC chicken bucket (who doesn’t?) then all you have to do is download and sign up to the KFC app.

As a special treat for your very first order, you’ll get a six-piece bucket for ordering £10 worth of food from the menu. Result.

You’ll only get one free bucket via this promotion and the offer is available until 12th March, so make sure you time that first purchase wisely – save it for a stinking hangover or a day you wake up craving fried food.

After this, you’ll still be in with a chance of winning a chicken bucket via KFC’s new promotion.

How do I scan a QR code with KFC?

To get your KFC goodies, you have to scan a QR code which you will find on your KFC app.

You’ll need to do this wherever you’re making a purchase – be it at the front counters, kiosks or drive through.

Plus, you can also do it if you’re ordering KFC Delivery via the KFC App itself.

The QR code essentially allows you to ‘check-in’ at a restaurant, and the app then knows its freebie o-clock.

How do I get freebies from KFC?

KFC has always had a rewards programme but now they’ve got a new gamified way of getting freebies, called KFC Rewards Arcade.

Basically, you’re eligible for a reward when you spend three quid or more in the UK (or five euros in the Republic of Ireland).

After making the purchase (and scanning your QR code), a push notification will offer you the chance to bag some free food, via a promotion they call KFC Rewards Arcade. What fun, ey?

Buying something will trigger an invite to play the arcade game to be in with a chance to win one of the thousands of free meals they’re giving out every day.

Do you get anything else free with the KFC app?

KFC is offering more than just chicken buckets. Oh, yes. You can also win a bunch of other prizes (there are 12 altogether).
