Krispy Kreme’s new churro doughnuts sound like a dream

Twisted: Unserious food tastes seriously good.

Krispy Kreme is really smashing out the limited edition goods at the moment. It was only last week we told you about their Jaffanut – a Jaffa Cake collab which took the world by storm.

But now they’re at it again with a brand new Mexican doughnut, named the ChurrDough.

Arriving in three flavours, the product is available all across the US, inspired by the “cinnamon-sugary flavours of churros.”

The Cinnamon Sugar Churrdough is garnished cinnamon Kreme swirls and drizzled with salted caramel crunch pieces. Meanwhile, the Cookies & Kreme Churrdough is decorated with chocolate cookie Kreme and chocolate cookie pieces, alongside a moreish chocolate icing.

Finally, the Dulce De Leche Churrdough is decorated with cream cheese icing, cookie pieces and an indulgent dulce de leche drizzle.

We wouldn’t even know where to start with these three delicious flavours…

“If you love classic churros or our Original Glazed Doughnuts, you’re going to love this light and airy, cinnamon-y, caramel-y, creamy, sugary goodness we’ve created,” Dave Skena, Kripsy Kreme’s global chief brand officer, stated.

Unfortunately for everyone here in the UK, the Krispy Kreme doughnuts aren’t yet available, as they’re only selling Stateside.

However, here’s hoping they’ll be bringing them over here, too.

In the meantime, we’ll have to stick to the Jaffanuts, which are a pretty good alternative if you ask us.

The Jaffanut is made up of Krispy Kreme’s “signature soft dough”, which has been filled with Jaffa Cakes’ beloved orange flavoured filling. Plus, it’s topped with a delicious dark chocolate glaze.

Basically, expect the sweet, spongey doughnut you know and love, but with some added citrusy zest.

If you fancy trying a Jaffanut for yourself, they’re available now in all Krispy Kreme shops around the UK.
