Twisted: Unserious food tastes seriously good.

Krispy Kreme has announced a very exciting collab with one of our favourite snack brands, McVitie’s.

Yup, the doughnut connoisseurs have teamed up with the folks over at Jaffa Cake HQ, to launch an exciting new product – the Jaffanut.

The Jaffanut is made up of Krispy Kreme’s “signature soft dough”, which has been filled with Jaffa Cakes’ beloved orange flavoured filling. Plus, it’s topped with a delicious dark chocolate glaze.

Basically, expect the sweet, spongey doughnut you know and love, but with some added citrusy zest.

If you fancy trying a Jaffanut for yourself, it’s going to be available from September 5th, in all Krispy Kreme shops around the UK.

It’s only a limited edition drop, meaning you’ve gotta be quick if you want to get your hands on one.

The Jaffanuts will be available until the 9th October, meaning Jaffa Cake fans have just over a month to sample them.

Costing £2.45 for one doughnut, you can also get the Jaffanut online, at www.kripsykreme.co.uk, and via the likes of JustEat, Deliveroo and UberEats.

Speaking about the launch, Alice Jamieson, McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes Brand Manager, commented: “We’re really excited to announce the partnership between Krispy Kreme and McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes– bringing together the two taste sensations for the first time and offering another fun twist for Jaffanatics to enjoy!”

Meanwhile, Louise Direito, Krispy Kreme UK and Ireland’s Director of Innovation added: “McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes are a much-loved product in the UK and Ireland and we’re excited to announce this partnership and bring consumers two iconic flavours in one product. We’ve had a lot of fun perfecting the Jaffanut and can’t wait for our customers to experience the same joy when they try it for themselves.”

In other doughnut related news, over in the US, Krispy Kreme recently announced the launch of a doggy doughnut, for customers to buy for their canine companions.

In collaboration with Australian brand, Doggie Doughnuts, the product is only for sale whilst stocks last, to mark National Dog Day on August 26th.

Doggie Doughnuts are dog friendly (obvs), designed by Huds and Toke, an Australia-based pet treat company.

Whilst they come in recognisable flavours like Original Glazed, Chocolate Cookie, Chocolate Sprinkles and Chocolate Iced, each Doggie Doughnut contains a hard-baked cookie filled with ingredients like Carob, which is a chocolate substitute. Plus, you can find peanuts, among other ingredients.

You can read more about those doughnuts here.
