Malibu strawberry returns to UK shelves for summer

Malibu is bringing back its strawberry flavour this summer, and it sounds like a fruity dream.

Yep, there’s a jazzy new flavour of the tropical rum hitting shelves, and we highly recommend stocking up immediately.

The drink is made with the brand’s deliciously smooth white rum, and there’s a refreshing hit of sweet and fragrant hit of strawbs with every sip.

With a 21 percent ABV, the drink can be served neat over ice or mixed into a cocktail of your choosing. Malibu strawberry daiquiri, anyone?

Malibu suggests mixing the drink with lemonade and garnishing it with some strawberry slices.

The drink costs £13, and is available in ASDA supermarkets across the UK and online right now.

We don’t know how long the drink will be on shelves, but judging by previous years we’d expect it to be a seasonal drop, so go, go, go!

When the drink was shared on Facebook group Food Finds UK, it’s safe to say that people were excited, with over 2000 people flocking to the comments.

“UHH YES PLEASE,” said one.

Whilst another wrote: “Bet this is nice.”

“We need to go to ASDA,” a third wrote, tagging a mate.

As another asked a pal: “We making strawberry daiquiris?”

If strawberry aint your thing, Malibu also has a watermelon and a coconut flavour, too.

In other booze related news, did you know that one of Aldi’s gins has been named one of the best in the world? Yep, really.

Yup,according to the results from the International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC), the budget supermarket reigns supreme when it comes to gin.

The IWSC found that Aldi’s Haysmith’s Rhubarb and Ginger Gin came out on top of all entries, winning 98 points amongst judges and landing a gold medal.
