We have good news and bad news, Maccies fans.
The good news is McDonald’s is launching a new menu today, and it includes the much anticipated McSpicy chicken burger – dubbed the hottest item to ever hit UK branches.
The McSpicy joins three other new menu items which are dropping for a limited run.
However, the bad news is it does mean we have to say goodbye to a few favourites.
Yep, as of today, we’re waving goodbye to the Big Tasty, which dropped in branches back in March.
Naturally, this means we’re also seeing the exit of the Big Tasty with Bacon and the Big Tasty BBQ, but that’s not all – the much loved Chilli Cheese Bites will also be scrapped.
The Homestyle Crispy Chicken burger and the Caramel McFlurry are saying adieu, too, alongside an Easter favourite, the Creme Egg McFlurry.
Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.
Of course, Maccies wouldn’t just take away its top menu items without offering us something pretty exciting in exchange.
The new menu sees the return of several old faves, including the Grand Big Mac (which costs £4.79 or £6.29 for a medium meal). This one is for the hungry Maccies fans amongst us, made up of two beef patties, a slice of cheese, lettuce, onion, pickles, bacon and Big Mac sauce, all stuffed in a bun.
Plus, there’s also a Grand Big Mac with Bacon (£5.29 or £6.69 for a medium meal) on offer. You can’t say they don’t spoil us!
Our fave menu addition might well be the Cheesy Garlic Bites (£1.99), though. They’re made with a blend of mozzarella and Emmental cheese in a garlic herb coating, served with a rich tomato dip.
And for dessert? Try a Flake Raspberry and Flake Chocolate McFlurry, which costs £1.39 for a regular or a pocket-friendly 99p for a mini.
As we mentioned earlier, the McSpicy is also making a comeback. This burger is basically a spicy chicken breast fillet with crunchy iceberg lettuce on top, and mayo slathered in-between two toasted sesame seed buns.
You can grab the McSpicy for £4.29 or fork out £5.79 for a medium meal.
