Twisted: Unserious food tastes seriously good.

McDonald’s has launched brand spanking new menu additions to get the New Year started.

The Golden Arches has got a whole load of new items to call in 2023, including a spicy new wrap, something very exciting for its plant-based customers and some rather mouthwatering garlic and cheese bites.

Launching today (January 4), the new McDonald’s menu has something for everyone – but you’d better be quick if you want to try everything on it, as they’re only launching for a limited time…

What’s on the new McDonald’s menu?

McDonald’s new menu items for January are all corkers. For those who love spice, they’ve got a brand new wrap, called the Spicy Sriracha Chicken One (£3.29 or £6.49 as a meal).

Made with your choice of either a crispy or grilled chicken breast, it will be served with a healthy dollop of fiery sriracha sauce, cucumber, slivered onions, and lettuce, in a toasted wrap.

We’ll also see the return of the Aero Chocolate McFlurry and the Aero Peppermint McFlurry (£1.79 or 99p as a mini) – two of the chain’s hugely popular ice cream flavours.

Plus, Cheesy Garlic Bites (£2.29 or £6.29 as a sharebox) will also be making a comeback, featuring mozzarella and Emmental cheese in a tasty garlic herb coating, which come alongside a rich tomato dip.

Perhaps most eagerly awaited of all, the Golden Arches has dropped a brand new plant-based offering, taking the humble McPlant and super-sizing it.

The Double McPlant (£4.89 or £6.49 as a meal) is basically a burger featuring two Beyond Meat patties, mustard, ketchup, vegan sandwich sauce, salad and vegan cheese, squeezed in a plant-based sesame bun.

It is vegan-certified and Maccies are going to cook it separately from other burgers and sandwiches, whilst also using different utensils.

The new additions will be available exclusively at Maccies restaurants in the UK and Ireland, and you’ll have until Valentine’s Day (February 14th) to get your hands on them.

Potato waffles, the Big Tasty, Cheese Melt Dippers, Cheese Melt Dippers Shareboxes, Celebrations McFlurries and the Festive Pies will all be coming off the menu today to make way for the releases.

Whilst we wish we could eat Christmas food forever, we can’t deny that Maccies have sorted us some very tempting alternatives….
