We come baring a very important public service announcement. McDonald’s is launching potato waffles on its new menu.
Yup, sod your bog standard fries. For the very first time, the fast food giant is serving its potatoes in waffle form, and honestly, we couldn’t be more excited.
We couldn’t tell you why potato tastes better in a different shape, but we are almost certain that it will…
Costing £1.39, the waffles come as a side, with three in a portion. They’ll be sold on the breakfast menu so you’ll have to order them before 11am, and they’re joining a bunch of new additions to the menu that are all landing on Wednesday (19th October).
Alongside the waffles a BBQ Bacon Stack will be launching on the main menu for a limited time. This was hugely popular when it hit the menu last year, so we’re sure Maccies fans will be flocking to get it again.
The BBQ Bacon Stack (£6.89) is made with two beef patties, two slices of pepper jack cheese and bacon, topped with salad, onions and BBQ sauce.
And it’ll be joined by nacho cheese wedges with a sour cream dip (£2.19 and £5.99 for a sharer), which will be arriving as a brand new side, and a Twirl McFlurry, which is landing on the dessert menu (£1.19 for a mini and £1.69 for a regular).
Just in case you wanted even more choice, customers will also be a brand spanking new permanent menu item arriving – the McCrispy (£6.49).
The McCrispy is the first chicken burger to be added to the McDonald’s menu in 15 years, and after a trial rollout in a few select areas, Maccies fans saying it was one of their favourite new additions yet.
Of course, to facilitate all of these changes, we are going to have to wave goodbye to some menu items, including the Big Tasty burger and the Chicken Legends.
