Twisted: Unserious food tastes seriously good.

Stop what you’re doing right now, because McVitie’s has just announced that it is launching white chocolate Jaffa Cakes.

Yup, you read that correctly.

The brand made the announcement on Instagram on Thursday (28th April), after literal years of pleading from Jaffa Cake fans.

McVitie’s is releasing the biscuit-sized cakes as a limited-edition run, so you’ll have to be lucky to get your hands on ’em.

There are only going to be 40 packs of the Jaffa Cakes on sale, and fans will have to apply to get their hands on them via a competition that’ll be held on the McVitie’s Insta’ page.

The new Jaffa Cakes are coated with a sweet white chocolate instead of their usual dark chocolate shell, but the jellied orange filling will remain the same.

All you have to do is like McVitie’s competition post to enter, and tag the person you’d most like to share a pack of McVitie’s White Chocolate Jaffa Cakes with.

You have until May 2nd to enter, and winners will be selected at random on Tuesday, May 3rd.

As for what will happen after the competition? Nothing yet is confirmed.

But who knows? Maybe once people try the cakes and they get a bit of hype they could become more of a permanent fixture?

Twisted has reached out to McVities to ask if we can expect a more permanent launch any time soon…

In other confectionary news, Nestlé are also bringing the goods recently, having just announced the release of their Biscoff KitKat.

The brand’s much hyped Biscoff KitKat Chunky bars are officially available in Tesco stores *right now* – making their debut after a very successful launch in Australia.

In case you aren’t familiar with the oh-so-popular chocolate bar, it’s essentially a classic KitKat Chunky wafer finger, with a delicious layer of Lotus Biscoff spread sandwiched inside.

The bar is then covered in the KitKat milk chocolate we know and love, making a pretty unreal mouthful of cocoa and speculoos goodness.

The chocolate bars will be selling for an incredibly reasonable 60p RRP across Tesco stores, and you can also buy three for £1.20 if you have a Clubcard. Result.
