Popeyes launches very exciting new menu as people say it's 'better than McDonald's'

Big news in the fast food world, folks!

Popeyes has released a new range of chicken burgers, and we don't mean to be dramatic, but they might just be the chain's best yet.

Available in restaurants and via takeaway, the new range adds a little sweetness and spice to all the classic chicken offerings. Any guesses what it might be?

That's right, the chain's famous hot honey flavourings, beloved across the US, have made it over to the UK.

The hot honey range launched on 17th September, with Popeyes stating it was a response to increased demand.

They cite that #HotHoney "is the flavour of the moment, with 887 million views on TikTok," adding that they sold 80,000 Hot Honey dips just last month.

The range will see hot honey drizzled over Popeyes' beloved chicken sandwich, alongside two other items.

The Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich (£6.99) promises the chain's shatter crunch chicken breast in a brioche bun. There's a healthy drizzle of hot honey sauce and it's topped with smoked cheese and pickles.

You can also get your mitts on Hot Honey Saucin’ Wings (from £5.99), which the folks at Popeyes claim are "a must-try for fans looking to spice up their order".

These crispy chicken wings come slathered in the same hot honey sauce, and look utterly devourable.

If you're looking for more of a feast, you can also opt for the Hot Honey Box Meal, which comes with a sandwich, regular fries, a regular drink, and either two chicken tenders, three hot wings, or one-piece signature chicken. We love options!

This will set you back £10.99, which is a bargain given the amount of food.

Dave Hoskins, head of food at Popeyes, said of the launch: "After seeing the love from our fans for our best-selling Hot Honey dip, we thought it was only right that we take it one step further and launch a range of new products dedicated to the flavour. 

"Designed to get taste buds poppin’ by combining the texture of our famous Shatter Crunchin’ chicken with sticky and sweet Hot Honey, we’re proud to be the first and only quick service restaurant in the UK to launch a Chicken Sandwich and Saucin’ Wings that pays homage to this delicious flavour trend."

He added: "We’re constantly inspired by our origins in New Orleans, and Hot Honey certainly comes with that sweet Southern kick."

Popeyes haven't revealed how long the hot honey range will be about, so we recommend dashing to try it before it disappears.

The fast food chain has been getting a lotta hype since it landed in the UK, with many saying it's a rival to Maccies' crown.

We couldn't possibly comment on such a claim, but we are very on board with everything Popeyes is putting out!
