Toblerone launches chocolate truffles and OMG

Toblerone has just dropped a brand new product – and it’s a little bit fancy.

Yup, the folks at Mondelez have just released some new diamond shaped Toblerone Truffles, and just when we thought Toblerone couldn’t get any better… they somehow managed it.

The chocolate truffle is encased with Toblerone chocolate, and its soft centre is filled with little pieces of almond nougat and crispy honey pieces.

It’s described as a “deliciously different truffle with a deceptively angular outer and a velvety smooth centre.” Oooft.

Claire Kamara, brand manager for Toblerone at Mondelēz International said: “We are incredibly excited to share Toblerone’s most recent development, Toblerone Truffles, to help celebrate those special moments, whether treating yourself or your loved ones

“This new addition has achieved a spot in the top 10% of all Mondelēz International tested concepts in the past 3 years, making it the perfect seasonal gift, and helping retailers to drive premium sales and trade-up with a remarkable and distinctive addition to their Christmas and all-year-round offering.”

The chocolates are landing in stores today (3rd July), and retailing at a £6.09 RRP.

Now, you might be thinking that you’ve seen these chocolates before, and that’s because they were available online last year, as a limited gifting item.

However, back then, they retailed at a whopping £21 a box, and were a lot harder to get your hands on.

We love to see these bad boys make a return… Toblerone truffles for all!
