One of America's most adored fast food chains, Chick-fil-A, is officially getting its first UK outposts – and we're very excited about it.

Yup, we got ourselves on the Popeyes and Wendy's hype, and now Chick-fil-A has finally caught up, with UK branches landing very soon.

The chain's chicken sandwiches and waffle fries need no introduction – they have a cult following in the US.

And now we can try 'em for ourselves, as the locations of the first UK spots have been revealed.

Chick-Fil-A will initially be opening five locations: two parts of Belfast, Leeds, Liverpool and London.

It comes after the chain previously announced an intention to invest $100 million (£74.6 million) into its expansion into the UK over the next ten years.

The Chief International Officer at Chick-fil-A, Anita Costello, said: "Serving communities is at the heart of everything we do, and we look forward to bringing Chick-fil-A's delicious food and signature hospitality to Belfast, Leeds, Liverpool and London, and continuing our long-term investment in the UK.

"From job creation to supporting local causes, we are excited about the positive impact our first restaurants will have in the communities they serve."

The first Chick-fil-A branch is expected to open its doors in the first quarter of 2025.

The chain was founded by Samuel Truett Cathy in 1946, who, as a strict Christian, followed 'biblical principles' when running his business.

To this day, the chain's corporate mission statement is 'to glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us and to have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A.'

In the US, stores don't open on Sundays, and it looks like the same rule will apply to the UK, although we'll have to wait for official confirmation on that.

What we do know, though, is that the food is bloomin' cult for a reason. Mark your calendars for the launch of these stores, folks!
