The Kardashians seem to be taking over the vegan space, of late.
It was mere weeks ago that Kim Kardashian teamed up with Beyond Meat as their official brand ambassador, but now her elder sister Kourtney Kardashian is getting in on the action, too.
Kourtney and her husband, Travis Barker, have just collaborated with plant-based brand, Daring, to star in a typically PDA campaign to promote the food.
And as per usual, people had something to say about the pair’s involvement. It comes with the territory of being a Kardashian, ey?
In the clip, Kourt and Trav are seen snuggling (as per) – but that’s not actually what’s got people talking.
Instead, people seemed up in arms about the fact they’re promoting vegan food whilst adorned in what looked very much like leather.
“Guys, there’s chickens that are dying. Why we love @daringfoods Plant Chicken 🌱🐔 #daringpartner,” Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kourtney wrote.
“Chickens are dying but you’re still rocking leather even in your picture, makes sense, not…,” said one person in the comments.
Whilst another wrote: “Eating plant chicken while rocking leather,” with a confused face alongside the comment.
“Pretty sure you wear leather and the seats in that car are probably leather too. Or are we just worried about chickens,” penned a third.
Of course, even small changes for the good of animals and the environment are worth celebrating, and Kourt and Travis shouldn’t be criticised for doing their bit.
But as it happens Daring have also confirmed that their outfits are 100 percent vegan. So take that, haters.
People had something to say about Kim’s Beyond Meat campaign too, naturally.
Check out the video and see if you can work out their gripe:
Yep, to celebrate the reality star’s high-profile signing, Beyond Meat released a sparkling new advert which saw Kim marvelling at some of their star products.
The only catch? Fans were almost certain Kim doesn’t bite down on the product once.
Kim has since cleared up the confusion, sharing a video of herself chowing down on the products on social media.
Maybe it’s time we just accept the Kardashians are plant-based icons and get on with our days.
