Ingredients

  • 600mldouble cream
  • 300gdark chocolate
  • 100gmilk chocolate
  • 150ml Irish cream

Chocolate mousse doesn't have to be one of those scary desserts, and with this recipe, it's actually too easy to make. A dark chocolate whipped ganache intoxicated with loads of Irish Cream, makes for a heavenly dessert which wows every time.

Method

  • Add the cream to a saucepan, along with the Irish cream, and heat on medium until it just comes to boil. Turn off the heat and pour into a heatproof bowl containing both chocolates. Allow to sit for 5 minutes, before whisking everything together until the cream and chocolate is fully combined.
  • Allow this mixture to chill completely before whipping with an electric hand whisk for about 2 minutes, or until you form soft peaks.
  • This can now sit at room temperature, or in the fridge until ready to serve! Serve a big spoonful of this Irish cream mousse with both white and milk chocolate shavings.
  • What do you think of the recipe?
