McDonald’s announces return of Chicken Big Mac

McDonald’s has announced the return of its iconic Chicken Big Mac, and it’s landing back in stores next week. 

Yep, after much demand from fans, the popular burger is making a comeback on March 29th – but only for a limited time.

In case you need a reminder, the Chicken Big Mac (£4.49 of £6.09 for a meal) is basically made up of “two deliciously crispy coated chicken patties made with chicken breast meat, a slice of cheese, lettuce, pickles and tasty Big Mac sauce”. Yum.

It comes after much pleading from fans, who have been hankering for the burger ever since it was debuted in the UK back in February 2022,  landing in branches nationwide for a short while.

“Just found out I missed the Chicken Big Mac wtf,” wrote one person on social media shortly after the promotion.

Whilst another joined many in pleading: “Bring back the chicken big mac!!!!!!!”

The fresh take on the Big Mac will be launching as part of a new menu on March 29th, and comes alongside some more exciting extras.

The Big Mac joins the brand new Steakhouse Stack burger (£5.39 or £6.99 as a meal) made up of of two beef patties, a slice of cheddar cheese, crispy onions, red onions, and lettuce, and is topped with a creamy peppercorn sauce, all in a freshly toasted bun.

Plus, fans can rejoice as Mozzarella Dippers (£2.19 or £6.19 as a sharebox) and the Cadbury Creme Egg McFlurry (£1.99) will also be making a comeback.

Thomas O’Neill, Head of Marketing at McDonald’s UK and Ireland said: “We are excited to bring the Chicken Big Mac back to the UK and Ireland. It sold out in under a week last year so we know so many people will be as delighted as we are that it’s returning this Spring.

“The Steakhouse Stack is another fantastic development from our Menu team, the taste of steak and peppercorn sauce captured perfectly in this newest addition to our menu – delicious!”

None of the products will be landing as a permanent fixture, so we’d advise getting down to Maccies to have your fill, ASAP.
