A New York deli has caught the internet's attention with its viral sandwich with pickles for buns.

Yup, this is one for the pickle people out there.

Food influencer @gabbyparmesan has shared a clip of the meal she got from Seven Brothers Gourmet in Long-Island, New York, and it's safe to say it brings a whole new meaning to 'pickle sandwich'.

You can check it out below:

In a TikTok that has been viewed almost 4.5 million times, Gabby unwraps the rather chunky pickle sub, and it's a thing of beauty.

The sarnie is basically a whole pickle sliced down the centre, and used in place of am bread bun.

You then hallow out each bit of pickle and stuff it with traditional sandwich fillings, like lettuce, turkey, bacon, provolone, etc.

Pretty banging, eh?

"It's a little bit messy because the pickle juice is dripping, but this is awesome.

"They scoop out the pickle and everything fits in there so perfectly. Look at that, are you kidding me?

"Wow. You need this."

The sandwich has been on the menu since January, and has been picking up steam on social ever since.

Reacting to Gabby's post, there was a lot of fanfare.

"This looks so goo... imagine with a side of lays chips and a sweet tea," one person wrote.

Whilst another penned: "This is crazy I'm going there."

"Looks like a hangover cure," penned a third.

As a fourth gushed: "MY DREAM".

Gabby's post isn't the only one causing traction, and now the Long Island deli is said to be selling as many as 250 pickle sandwiches a day and a specific line has even been allocated for those ordering them, so they don't get in the way of the regulars.

As epic as this concept is, it isn't something totally new.

Named Peace Love Pickles, another eatery in Haddon Township made headlines a couple of years ago, after debuting a similar offering.

Owned by Katherine Cohen, and inspired by her mother’s pickle sandwiches, the deli featured everything from ‘Jersey Devil’, made with turkey, American cheese, Sriracha mayo and Flamin' Hot Cheetos, and ‘Phat Farm, filled with roast beef, turkey, ham and corned beef.

Unfortunately for Brits, we haven't seen such delicacies move over here, yet.

Here's hoping someone picks up on the trend soon!
