Ingredients

  • 2eggs
  • 100mlwhole milk
  • 30gcaster sugar
  • 2 very, very thick sliceswhite bread

Cooked in an air fryer, our french toast has increased surface area making sure there are loads of opportunities for delicious craggly bits. It takes under 15 minutes to pull together which is criminally quick. Then, drizzle over Nutella, or Biscoff, or custard and jam.

Method

  • Whisk together eggs, milk and caster sugar. Cut slices almost all the way through the bread to make a grid. Pour the French toast mixture over the bread slices.
  • Allow to soak for five minutes then place in the air fryer. Air fry for 10 minutes or until caramelised on the outside and just cooked internally.
  • Serve drizzled with your sauce du jour and sprinkled with icing sugar.
