Caramelised Bacon Chocolate Puff Twists

Bacon? Good... Pastry? Good... Chocolate? So, so good!

Ingredients

  • 1Premade Puff Pastry Sheet
  • 1 Pack Sliced Bacon (Smoked or Unsmoked)
  • 40gDark Chocolate
  • Golden Sugar
  • Sea Salt Flakes
  • 1Egg

This is everything you need in a bacon twist. Crispy puff pastry intertwined with bacon caramelised with golden sugar. The to take it to the next level a drizzle of dark chocolate and a sprinkle of sea salt.

Method

  • Lay out the sheet of puff pastry and sprinkle with golden sugar.
  • Lay on top thin slices of bacon and then sprinkle over more sugar again to to coat the bacon.
  • Slice the puff pastry along between the bacon slices to create strips then twist each one.
  • Place on a baking sheet and brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar.
  • Bake at 200ÂșC for 20 mins.
  • Drizzle over melted dark chocolate and sprinkle over sea salt to finish.
  • Enjoy while warm and crispy
