    You'll need:
  • 8creme eggs, frozen
  • 400gplain flour
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 2 tspbaking powder
  • 200gunsalted butter, softened
  • 130ggranulated sugar
  • 150glight brown sugar
  • 2eggs, beaten
  • 2 tspvanilla
  • 200gchocolate chips

A decadent treat perfect for Easter or anytime you're craving something sweet. Feel free to get creative with the recipe by adding extra chocolate chips or drizzling melted chocolate over the cookies for an extra touch of richness!

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 180 C.
  • Whisk together the dry ingredients - flour, salt, and baking powder.
  • In another bowl, using an electric whisk beat together the sugars and butter until light and creamy.
  • Add the egg and vanilla, and mix until smooth.
  • Add the dry ingredients, and gently fold in - it's quite a thick dough. Fold through the chocolate chips.
  • Divide the dough into roughly 8 pieces, 100g each. Roll into a ball, then flatten. Place the creme egg inside, then wrap the dough around the creme egg. Place on a greaseproof paper lined tray, leaving at least 6cm space in between.
  • Pop into the oven for 15-20 minutes, flipping half way, until golden and puffy. Leave to cool for 15 minutes on the tray before moving to wire rack.
