Salted Caramel Brownies with Galaxy Caramel Mini Eggs Recipe

Twisted’s Salted Caramel Brownies recipe with Galaxy Caramel Mini Eggs is as decadent as it is delicious. Think sticky, gooey, melt in the middle salted caramel brownies.

Ingredients

    Brownies:
  • 80g flour
  • 100gcaster sugar
  • 65gcocoa powder
  • 1/2 tspbaking powder
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 85g apple sauce
  • 80ml coffee
  • 60mlcoconut oil
  • 2 tspvanilla extract
  • 335gcaramel candies
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 12Galaxy Mini Eggs

Is there a better way to celebrate Easter than stuffing massive amounts of chocolate in your mouth...probably, but its all part of the fun. Topped with luxurious Galaxy Caramel Mini Eggs, these salted caramel brownies have that melt-in-the-middle gooiness that only comes with a carefully layered bake. Method

  • Preheat oven to 180ºC and grease and line a square baking tin with parchment paper
  • Whisk the dry ingredients together in a bowl.  Whisk the wet ingredients into the dry until smooth. 
  • Mix the caramels and milk in a bowl. Microwave for about 1 minute until the caramel is melted and smooth when mixed. 
  • Pour half of the batter into the mix. Top with a layer of caramel sprinkle with salt and followed by the remaining brownie batter. 
  • Bake for 18 minutes.  Remove and top with the halved Galaxy caramel eggs.  Return to the oven and bake for another 4-5 minutes. 
  • Slice into 12 with two halves for each slice and enjoy!
