Ingredients

    Schnitzel:
  • 2boneless pork cutlets
  • 50gplain flour
  • 3whole eggs
  • 70gDoritos Hint of Salt Dippers
  • Garlic Aioli:
  • 3 tbspDoritos Sour Cream and Chive Dip
  • 2garlic cloves, grated
  • 1lemon
  • salt to taste
  • Tangy Cheese Chips:
  • 4large Maris Piper Potatoes
  • 1garlic clove
  • 1 tspblack peppercorn
  • 1spring of thyme,
  • 1 tbspsalt
  • 20g Tangy Cheese Doritos

We think this is the perfect weeknight meal, and it's all thanks to Doritos! A thin and crispy pork schnitzel, breaded with Dorito's Hint of Salt Dipper, and served with Tangy Cheese triple cooked chips, and a ready in minutes Aioli.

Method

  • First we'll prepare our potatoes. Peel and cut them into chunky batons, give them a rinse before adding them to a pot of cold water, with our aromatics and salt, and cook on a light simmer until folk tender. Let them dry on a rack before cooling completely.
  • In the time it takes for the potatoes to boil, we'll have our aioli all done! In a bowl, mix together our Doritos Sour Cream and Chive Dip, the grated garlic, the zest of one lemon, and half the juice. Mix well and keep in the fridge till ready to serve!
  • Once our chips are cold, transfer them into an air-fryer basket, and spray with vegetable oil spray. Cook them at 140°c for 8-10 minutes. Alternatively you can deep. Remove and allow to cool whilst we make our pork.
  • Add our Doritos Hint of Salt Dippers into a food processor, and blitz to a rough crumb. Bash out the pork cutlet until extremely thin, trying not to make any holes, but it's ok if there are a couple! Season with salt and pepper and start breading, first covering with flour, then the egg, and finally our Doritos crumb. This can then be cooked in the air-fryer, at 180°c, for 10-12 minutes, or 4-5 minutes shallow frying over medium heat.
  • The chips, now cold can go back into the air fryer at 180°c, for 4-5 minutes to get extra crispy and to fully cook. Alternatively, deep fry for 2-3 minutes.
  • Whilst this is happening, blend our Tangy Cheese Doritos to a fine powder to sprinkle on the chips.
  • Plate up the schnitzel, with our chips, a good spoonful of our Doritos aioli, some chives and a lemon wedge.
  • What do you think of the recipe?
