Leftover Bolognese Grilled Cheese

Next time you have leftover bolognese, turn it into this triple decker lasagna inspired grilled cheese!

Ingredients

    You'll need:
  • 6bread slices
  • 300gleftover bolognese
  • 300mlbechamel
  • 100glow moisture mozzarella, grated
  • Vegetable oil
  • Unsalted butter

Layers of toasted bread, bolognese, béchamel, and mozzarella cheese come together to make this delicious triple decker sandwich.

Method

  • Start by preheating the oven grill, then by making the first sandwich. On the first slice of bread, spread béchamel all over. Top with cheese, then leftover bolognese, more cheese, then another slice of bread.
  • Toast in a pan with butter and vegetable oil over medium heat until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted.
  • Remove from the pan, then top with more béchamel, cheese, and bolognese. Top with a fresh slice of bread, then toast again in the pan, but just on the one side.
  • Remove from the pan, and cover with béchamel and more cheese. Pop under the grill, then cook until the béchamel is bubbly with some brown spots.
