Given the wild celebrations that occur on a typical Burns Night, a socially distanced party might seem like a letdown.
However, thanks to the ever industrious team at Visit Scotland, we know that January 25 can still be something to look forward to.

“While this year’s celebrations may look a bit different, thanks to a fantastic array of virtual events there are still plenty of ways people can safely enjoy Burns Night.
“Not only is it the ideal opportunity to enjoy a delicious bowl of haggis, neeps and tatties and toast Burns with a ‘wee dram’, it is also a way of celebrating Scotland, with people from all over the world, from the comfort of home.
“From a virtual Burns toast, to comedy, music and even a virtual ceilidh, there is something for everyone to enjoy on and around 25 January, whilst dreaming of a trip to Scotland in the future once it’s safe to travel again.”
Burns Night is normally a raucous affair. But perhaps this year we can all take the opportunity to connect with the festivities in a slightly different way.
