Twisted: Unserious food tastes seriously good.

We all love a stuffed crust pizza, don’t we? Gooey cheese oozing out of piping hot dough… it really is perfection.

But Papa Johns is bringing us a twist on the classic stuffed crust this Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend, and it might just be even better – if you love pickle, that is.

The pizza chain is dropping a cheese and Branston pickle crust which can be added to all Cheese & Tomato, and Vegan Cheese & Tomato pizzas.

Available in stores right now, the crust is packed full of everyone’s favourite Ploughman’s essential, creating the ultimate mash-up between the quintessentially British sandwich and the Italian delicacy.

It’ll cost £2.99 to add the crust to your pizza, and there’s also an option to vegan-ise the crust stuffer, too, for the same price.

The new Branston crusts come as part of a bunch of new menu additions from the pizza chain, including pizza sticks, which are also launching as a summer special.

The sticks also come in Branston Pickle and Cheese flavour, and there’s also a tribute to another British fave – Marmite (both £6.99). Oh, Papa Johns, you do spoil us.

They join the Garlic Pizza Sticks to Bacon Cheese Sticks, which are already on the menu.

The special additions are available on the Papa Johns menu from yesterday (Monday 30th May), for a limited time only.

And we don’t know about you, but we simply must try all of these immediately.

In other news, did you hear that McDonald’s changed its jingle in honour of the Queen’s Jubilee?

Yep, joining Papa Johns in celebrating all things British over the Bank Holiday, the burger joint teamed up with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra to re-record their iconic ‘ba-da-ba-ba-ba, I’m lovin’ it’.

You can read more about that here, but let’s just say, we’re sure Queenie is thrilled.

The food chains join several others in celebrating the best of British over the Bank Holiday weekend. We’ve also seen Heinz change its Salad Cream to Salad Queen, M&S give its Colin the Caterpillar a royal makeover and Greene King offer pints of IPA completely free.

Anyone else wish there was a Bank Holiday more often?!
