We’re going to be honest, we didn’t think Cadbury Creme Eggs could be improved upon.
But then we realised that pretty much everything is better when plunged into a deep far frier, isn’t it…?! Enter TikTok’s latest trend.
Yup, over on the video sharing app, people are deep frying Creme Eggs, and they sound like an über indulgent dream.
Clips of the oozy fried chocolate eggs have been doing the rounds on several food blogs, but we first spotted them over on The Hoot Leeds‘ TikTok page, when their team revealed that a local eatery had been selling them.
Feast your eyes on that below:

You can also see a bunch of other creators have aslso knocked up the fried Creme Egg at home with incredible results.
The brand Pleesecakes gave it a try over on their page, whilst blogger B Dylan Hollis also attempted a similar version in the air-fryer, for a lighter (well kinda) version of the snack.

How to make fried Creme Eggs
To make the crispy fried Creme Eggs all you need to do is whip up a quick batter and then roll your chocolate in it before popping it into hot oil for just under five minutes.
We’d suggest using flour, baking powder, milk, vegetable oil and a pinch of salt for your batter (and an egg if you want a more cakey exterior). Cooling your Creme Eggs for a few hours before cooking will stop any leakage.
Then, you’ll know your eggs are done when they develop a nice, golden shell.
That’s it. It’s that easy!
Brb whilst we do this to all our leftover Easter stash…
Other Creme Egg news
In other Creme Egg news, did you know that people are making cocktails inspired by the Easter favourite?
Yup, Easter has always been an excuse to eat your body weight in Creme Eggs…but how about a drink that looks like them, too?!
The snazzy drink came to light on The Craft Gin Club’s TikTok, where you can cubed ice and 50ml of gin combined with creme de cacao blanc and coconut creme.
The drink comes out a luminous white colour, and is topped off with a circular piece of frozen tropical juice, so it looks just like the filling of a Creme Egg.
Pretty clever right? You can get the full recipe here.
